In a statement, Amir Hossein Jahanshahi has indicated that all the activities of this new organization will be conducted in the framework that is in compliance with the laws of the country.
Jahanshahi, the Founder of Green Wave and Raha TV had stated in November 2014, that in Spring 2015 at the latest, he was ending his 35 years of exile and that in the proceeding weeks, he would be bringing all his activities in compliance with country’s laws.
In his statement today, Jahanshahi referred to national reconciliation in Iran as “being able to enlist and mobilize the services of all the country’s accomplished talents in one united direction towards attaining the welfare of the people in a prosperous and powerful Iran” and said that “Today, given the recent tragic experiences in the region, what stands opposed to the promotion of ‘National Reconciliation’, are the activities of individuals or groups outside Iran, who under the premise of ‘regime change’, may irrespective of existing realities, guide our country towards chaos and dismemberment, which as mentioned in the course of my recent press conference, is considered to be nothing less than treacherous”.
The statement by Amir Hossein Jahanshahi says, “Green Wave, in line with the people of Iran, has been able to achieve a great portion of its objectives in the course of the previous 5 years”. Also, according to this statement, the Secretary General of Green Wave, given the new national and international milieu, has suggested the dissolution of Green Wave which Jahanshahi has accepted, by asking Dr. Mehrdad Khonsari to be the Secretary General of the newly formed Organization for ‘Economic Reconstruction and National Reconciliation’ (‘BAAM’).
